1. What is the Creative View?

Creatives refer to the visual and media assets utilized in advertising, such as images, videos, banners, GIFs, and text overlays. These elements are strategically crafted to capture attention and foster engagement

In the Creative View, you can get an overview of your creatives' performance and focus on the KPIs that matter most to your business.

2. What can I do in the Creatives View?

2.1 Choose a period, attribution models and set filters

Some elements you see in the Creative View might already be familiar, like the period selection, attribution models, and filters. You can find more detailed information about these parameters here in the linked articles.

2.2 Share your view or load presets

You can also use the "Share View" and "Presets" options in the top-right corner. These might also be familiar to you from the dashboard view.

2.3 Metrics, Format and Sort by

Now, onto the features unique to the Creative View. You can configure metrics, select a format, and choose how to sort them. The metrics you pick will be calculated for each creative and shown in the desired order.

To change the metrics shown for your creatives, click "Metrics", then make your selection from the drop-down.

Once you click "Submit", your selected metrics will be displayed.

You can also filter creatives by format (text, video, image) to display only the formats relevant to you.

A text creative will always consist solely of text. However, for other formats like video creatives, a text may be included. This text will become visible when you hover over the preview of the creative.

2.4 Full preview

Enabling Full Preview lets you see the entire creative, rather than just a snippet. Whether you prefer to see a full view or an extract depends on your personal needs.

2.5 Difference between Creatives and Ads

The key difference between a creative and an ad in the context of marketing lies in their roles and scope:

  • Creative: This refers to the visual or media content used within an ad, such as images, videos, or text. It's the actual content that conveys the message, attracts attention, and engages the audience. When you select Creative, you can also click on “View Ads” to see all the places where that creative is used, including Ads, Ad Sets, and Campaigns.

  • Ad: An ad is the complete marketing asset that includes not only the creative but also other elements like the targeting parameters, call-to-action (CTA), platform placement, and budget. It’s the broader structure that delivers the creative to the intended audience in a specific format (like a Facebook ad, Google ad, or banner ad on a website). When you select Ad, you can click on “Details” to view important information such as the name, the campaign, and the channel associated with that ad.

In short, the creative is the content, while the ad is the vehicle that delivers that content to the audience.
